Thanks, dancer jenny Nothing whatsover to do with Windows as that message appears before Windows even begins loading. Suggest you RTFM that came with the computer or contact the computer manufacturer. -- Facon - the artificial bacon bits you get in Pizza Hut for sprinkling on salads. |

Hi,
Your BIOS is doing that, you may have a dead CMOS battery, or it may be set to pause the boot. It has nothing to do with XP. -- Best of Luck, Rick Rogers, aka "Nutcase" - Microsoft MVP http://mvp.support.microsoft.com/ Associate Expert - WindowsXP Expert Zone www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/expertzone Windows help - www.rickrogers.org "dancer" wrote in message .. . Try setting your BIOS to their defaults and see if it clears it up before
doing the battery, its quicker. "Rick "Nutcase" Rogers" wrote in message ... Hi, Your BIOS is doing that, you may have a dead CMOS battery, or it may be set to pause the boot. That is not advisable these days with SATA and PATA drives, etc. He might
not be able to boot. -- Colin Barnhorst [MVP Windows - Virtual Machine] (Reply to the group only unless otherwise requested) "hustedj" wrote in message news Try setting your BIOS to their defaults and see if it clears it up before doing the battery, its quicker.
