How can I change the hibernation file size in Windows XP?

By adding or removing memory. As it has to store your memory it needs to =
be the same size. So install more memory to make it bigger or remove =
some to shrink the file.

Default About Hibernate Windows XP!

You can't. The hibernation file is calculated as a percentage of your
available free deskspace. You either have it enabled or disabled (via the
hibernation tab in power options)
