uninstall win 10 apps
When I uninstall some apps from win10, why is it they return like a
cancer or a bad hemorrhoid? They seem to persistently re-install themselves and its really annoying. -- A nation of sheep will beget a government of wolves - Edward R. Murrow |

It could be because you are not uninstalling the correct way. You haven't given us any info about which APP you are trying to uninstall and how exactly did you try to uninstall so I can't give you any instructions in this post. -- With over 500 million devices now running Windows 10, customer satisfaction is higher than any previous version of windows. |

I've found some don't give any uninstall option, e.g. OneDrive for one which I'll never use. same here, you can uninstall that from the programs and features in control panel. -- A nation of sheep will beget a government of wolves - Edward R. Thanks for the reply, Paul. Does the powershell method keep the apps from coming back? When the Creator "OS Upgrade" arrives in April 2017, all those deleted Apps will come back. I do not have a lot of confidence that Microsoft will honor user modifications, in any tangible way. If you want to make modifications to the OS, keep a notes file with the details of the method used. As in April 2017, you may need those notes again. One other thing I recommend - before an OS upgrade comes in, use the SnippingTool to record the appearance of the desktop. For example, mine has application icons on the desktop. I *really* hate it, when one of my desktop icons disappears, and I have no record of "how the desktop used to look before the OS Upgrade". If you take a picture right now, this minute, you stand a better chance of identifying what got *deleted* by the Creator OS Upgrade. Then, reinstall the program that went missing. Paul |
