I used the VESA driver while evaluating Win8 Preview on my machine
with an FX5200. There was never a driver for that card.

I would expect NVIDIA would have a driver for that card.

Update Windows TP build does nothing. Yesterday I've been trying to
download new build but couldn't make it. Hard disk was busy for about 4
hours then nothing. I've looked in Windows/software
distribution/download folder for changes in size but it kept same 2,28
GB size. Then I gave up. Maybe best thing to do is download new iso
file. Can you tell where is new build (9850 or 9860?) iso file?

Thank you very much.

Yes there are corrupted fonts ... I cannot read text as letters are
missing on my HP Elite6930p. Cannot send any feed back
nor read the texts... Be careful...

Indeed, I've installed Win10 on my Asus Z87K and
it works perfectly well too. So, it may be something
in the fonts package that Win 10 doesn't like
on my laptop Elite 6930p ????

Support for FX5200 died a while back. And wouldn't
you know it, I have three of them.

What's explorer like for you? I've lost the slider bar at the bottom of
the left hand pane when I've opened a series of folders so I can't see
the folder names unless I drag the frame between the two windows to the
right.

The FX5200 was a good card. I had a few of them before moving up to the
GeoForce 6/7 series during the late XP to Win7 era. Once Intel's HD
on-board chips surpassed my needs (for i3 and i7 cpus) I haven't had a
need for an add-on card on desktop or laptop.

Although I have not experienced the font problem you mention, I did
read an article stating the problem and to straightaway download and
install the Windows TP update in Update that is supposed to rectify the
issue.

The latest driver that I have for the FX5200 is 175.19 which was
released in 2008 for 32-bit WinXP. This driver is currently available
from NVIDIA. I am not running XP and I have no way to test the driver
under a later OS.
