I used the "Privacy Guard" of East-Tec eraser as a routine cleanup, and this possibly erased the passwords. I have made the necessary adjustment to "Privacy Guard" to ignore the IE11 "Autocomplete" but there seems no way to re-enter the IE11 passwords. IE11 no longer asks about saving passwords. Should I re-install IE11? |

Should I re-install IE11? It would be pretty magical software, if it erased your preferences on a reinstall. I see this as a fundamental flaw with the uninstaller options in Programs and Features. It should have options like Uninstall and keep all my preferences Uninstall and remove my preferences, clean the registry etc. The latter option just doesn't exist and is why re-installing doesn't help. Only the former method is offered. Some companies offer "cleaner" utilities, which removes every entry with their corporate name associated with it. A reason for this, is interference from third party software. http://www.sevenforums.com/browsers-...assword-2.html "uninstalling HP SimplePass" HTH, Paul |

Mine looks like this: Autocomplete http://s28.postimg.org/r2gpealgt/2014_10_25_0311.png If you are going to insert all the passwords again then the best thing is to clear everything before doing it again. This gives you a clean start and avoids any corruptions. |

The yellow bar at the bottom of the page asking if storing passwords no longer appears. |

Curiously an uninstall/Reinstall of IE11 didn't work. |
