Default sATA hotplug Disk is not shown after disconnect

Hello
Asus P5MT-MX/C with ich7R Chipsatz from Intel
System: Windows 2003 Server

The problem is:
If the Harddisk is disconnected (sATA Hotplug Frame) and then
reconnected it is not shown in the device manager and the device is not
shown in explorer.
It becomes present if I manually search for PnP devices in the Intel
matrix Raid manager.
But the Harddisk should be present on its own without manual interaction
Any idea what to do?

Thanks for the help!!!
And sorry for the german posting ;-))
Ciao

Your problem is either with:
(1.) the MoBo Chipset driver; or
(2.) the Intel matrix Raid manager; or
(3.) Windows 2003
None of those three possibilities are in any way related to Windows XP
Hardware, which is where you have posted.
Steve
