The one without OpenCandy is here. https://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/imgburn.html Wikipedia has details. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ImgBurn Paul There is also this. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/...f-64bd1a70a1b3 It's likely to be irrelevant if you existed this long without it. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image_Mastering_API "IMAPI version 2.0 supports the following additional features: User-mode API instead of a kernel-mode API[8] Support for multiple optical drives as well as simultaneously recording to multiple drives[7] Support for creating ISO images[8] Support for VBScript scripting[8] Support for locking the recorder while burning[7] Unlike IMAPI version 1.0, IMAPI version 2.0 is implemented as a DLL rather than as a Windows service.[9] " I don't really know how that helps, except to note a few people may have missed the update. The microsoft burning engine, even on later OSes, is "missing" the odd thing (cannot "erase" media on its own in one situation), so it's hardly packed with sparkle ponies at the best of times. Imgburn is enough for a lot of purposes. Imgburn also has a menu item for erasing a disc when you need it. Paul |
