Default Change Display Font Size on Windows Live Messenger 2009

After spending 20 minutes looking for any help on changing the main windows
display font in IM and on the web, I am beginning to think Micrtosoft uses a
fixed font size. Then I tell myself, naa - Microsoft would never do this,
would they?

Changing the font size in the tools/Options only changes the font size of
the chat message, not the font size displayed in the contact list.

Does anyone know how to do this?
