Problem with moving HD to new computer.
I recently acquired one of the last parts for my new
computer. I correctly connected all parts and get it to get into the bios but when windows tries to start it gets an error. It brings up the blue screen saying all that stuff about if this error happens again then to contact the vendor. Does anyone have a way to fix this problem. I have another computer that I took the hd from but not that one seems to not want to boot but go to the first loading screen. Thanks for any and all help. |

Have you installed windows or are you trying to setup windows? Is all of
your new hardware on the Windows HCL? List your hardware here and also what the blue screen says (e.g. IRQ_LESS_THAN ...) Corey H "Brandon McIntyre" wrote in message ... Problem with moving HD to new computer.
I just re-read the subject line.
You have transplanted the HD from a different computer/harware setup to a new setup? Try a repair install... http://www.michaelstevenstech.com/XPrepairinstall.htm Corey H "Corey H" wrote in message ... Have you installed windows or are you trying to setup windows?
