Default Where do I find 'Remember each folder's View settings in Windows 7?

In XP:
Folder OptionsViewRemember each folder's View settings.
Can't find that in W7.

It's very irritating that when opening a folder, which shows 1 row of
folders and the preview pane. I then pull the divider across to see more
folders (which is a fiddle in itself!) to set up the page the way I like it.

On re-opening, the settings have reverted to the single line of folders.
It doesn't appear to remember the previous settings.
Where can I set this up so it stays like that?

One trick that might work, after setting as you like it close by doing File
Exit rather then the Red box

It's no longer available. Vista's folders were always losing their memory and
it looks like Microsoft have given up with that feature with Win7.

Thanks, I have no problem finding the Folder Options :-).
It's the setting: 'Remember each folder's View' that's missing.
If anyone know where it's hiding, I'd be grateful if they could tell me, I
can't find it.

I just did a little experiment Setting the preview window to slim then
closing, On going back to that folder it was just as i left it But
unfortunately so where the other folders. So if you chang one you change the
lot but I think I read that you turn of global Setting's somewhere

My aim is to have the folders taking up half the monitor space (I have a 22"
monitor) and displaying 3 folders across, plus a bit of preview pane.
Haven't achieved that. As soon as it looks right and I close the folder it
reverts back to a view I don't want.
As there is no setting 'Remember each folder's view', it's never going to
happen.
It is a lot easier in XP.
So much for 'improvement'.
Thanks for trying Trev :-)

Another Reason Why Microsoft Doesnot want to Create its own newsgroup
for win7.
Wants Web based so it can controll the information it contains .
