How do you set up Windows XP to start without having to log in each
time. I am the only one who uses the computer so why do I have to log
in?? Is there a way to set it up like I had in 98 to just start up and
not ask me to log in??

.. Go to the Start Menu and the Run box.
.. Type in the following:
control userpasswords2
.. now click OK
.. In the new Windows that appears select the account you wish to make the primary
logon.
.. Now uncheck the "Users must enter a username and password..." box.
.. Hit Apply and a dialog box will appear asking you to confirm the selected users
password.

Click OK.
The changes will work the next time you restart your computer.

If not joined to a domain:
Start
Run
control userpasswords2
Enter
Users
[ ] "Users Must Enter A User Name And Password To Use This Computer"
Enter

In the "Automatically Log On" dialog box,
type the user name and password for the account
to be logged on each time the computer starts.

If TweakUI is not installed on your system, then download it from

Note: V2.10.0.0 needs at least Windows XP SP 1

Thank you all. I looked all around for a while and just could not
figure it out. Simple when someone tells you how to do it. "Thank you
all"
