Default no responses from peers in Windows Messenger 5

Recently, I noticed that I that I cannot communicaate with peers using
Windows Messaging 5.0. I can log in fine but when people respond to me, I
do not see thier message. Also, peers cannot initiate messages to me.

It's as if I can send out messages but get no response and everyone else
cannot initiate a message directly to me.

Due to security restrictions, we can only use the Exchange Instant Messaging
feature with Windows Messenger.

I have uninstalled Messenger and reloaded at least twice. Any help is
greatly appreciated!

Greetings David,

Do you happen to have the Internet Connection Firewall engaged? If you do, or aren't sure,
click Start, then All Programs, then
Accessories, then Communications and then Network Connections. Then, right click the
network/internet connection, then click Properties. Click the Advanced Tab, and verify that
the Internet Connection Firewall is unchecked. The firewall can conflict with Exchange IM
and cause what you're seeing.

Just checked it and it is NOT checked to block traffic.
Any other ideas? Thanks!
