Default Background Applications

-----Original Message-----
I notice that when I start up my computer and I press
Ctrl+Alt+Delete and look at the current processes, there
is 31 running. Two of these I can easily close.
(Realplayer and Quicktime)

What I am wondering is if someone knew what some of

these
applications are that are classified under the SYSTEM

name.

imonNT.exe
svchost.exe (there is 5 of these....)
spoolsv.exe
Rtvscan.exe
Defwatch.exe
Ctsvccda.exe
Isass.exe
services.exe
winlogon.exe
csrss.exe
smss.exe

If you are able to tell me whether these are Microsoft
applications or whatever, that would be great.
