I have XP Pro on c:\ and Win 98 on d:\ but there is an error in my boot.ini
file which is preventing me from accessing win 98 This is the boot.ini file [boot loader] timeout=5 default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\WINDOW S [operating systems] multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Micro soft Windows XP Professional" /fastdetect multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)d:\WINDOWS="Mic rosoft Windows 98" /fastdetect Obviously the error is in the last line, but please can somebody put me right? I'm more concerned as to how it was installed. As Doug mentioned, it (Win98)
needs to be installed as D in order for it to work. If this was an added hard drive, then the rdisk value may need to change as well.
