Windows 10 Pro - where are the settings for Night Light? I found them
easily on my laptop (Win 10 home), but nothing shows on the Pro system
(not a laptop).

Hmm.. On my win 10 Home laptop the setting is present. On my Pro deskside
it isn't. Both have the Creators edition update.

Does Winver show Version 1703(OS Build 15063.138). I installed the
Creators edition in two parts. The first part of the installation
showed Build 15063.13 and the second part installed Build 15063.138

An earlier guide for location of Night Light missed part of the path -
try Settings / System / Display

A couple possibilities.

1) This is A/B install behavior. Microsoft is testing the feature
on some users, and not on others.

2) That's not very plausible, so I'll try another tack. This feature
depends on a "real" driver, with maybe a gamma adjustment or something
similar provided by the hardware manufacturer. Perhaps if a "Microsoft
Basic Display driver (a.k.a VESA)" is being used, the driver doesn't
support gamma or such adjustments ? Right-click Start and check out
Device Manager and the display adapter details.

Thanks,
I do a lot of color-sensitive photo work and have an Nvidia card with its
driver and use all its color control capabilities - not a generic one.
More searching...

My guess is, if the Microsoft software spots your active
color adjustment, it switches off Night Light. If you were
doing sensitive photo work, throwing your blue all over the
place probably would not be appreciated.

Just like monitors with fake "10,000,000:1" contrast ratios
are not appreciated, and photographers turn that off in the
LCD monitor OSD. And the monitor operates at a more normal
1000:1 (hardware) ratio or so.

Very likely! The screen is far from "stock" calibration. Thanks.
