Default 4-bit color after XP SP2 install

Hi,

I have installed Windows XP SP2 after uninstalling existing windows XP.
After reboot only 4-bit color is available.Also I am unable to change the
display resolution.

I have encountered a similar kind of problem, after reinstalling XP Sp2
I have got 640*480 4 bit color. Also I am unable to change the color
quality. I have not installed the adapter and drivers of mother board
CD...Pls help...thanks...

Default 4-bit color after XP SP2 install

The usual solution is to install the appropriate video drivers, and any
motherboard driverss. It's possible that the motherboard also has BIOS
updates that may or may not help.
You need to look at the MBD Mfrs web site, and decide what to download and
install.
The video driver(s) may be available at the video chipset Mfrs web site as
well.
