-error when trying to set screen save using Contol Panel in Windows XP error

Sorry, but that really is too little information...


Does the error message occur EVERY time you attempt to "set" screen saver?

When you say "set screen save", at what point EXACTLY do you get the error message?

When you quoted the error message - did you do so PRECISELY?


.......As the line :

"C:\\WINDOWS\system32\shell32.dll,Control_Run powercfg.cpl,,"

....is incorrect - double \\ backslash after C: (registry etiquette) mixed with single
backslashes elsewhere.
