Unhappy Configure WinXP as a Wireless Router with a DHCP Server

I'm trying to find out if there is a way of either configuring XP to be a Wireless Router with a in-built DHCP Service or if there is any software out there that could enable this. I'm currently working on a project and we have only one hardwired PC that has a specific connection which we all need to use for our day-to-day work. We have requests IT to configure a router and enable more connections but they have come back with a timeline of upto 6months.

Can anyone help?
