Hi,

Can you copy a cookie over from PC 1 to PC 2 ?

I use FTW Genealogy at http://genforum.genealogy.com/my/

After selecting 20 FAV forums they are there each time you log in. But
going to a 2nd PC the entire procedure must be completed again, searching
for and ADDING the Forum to your personal GenFORUM.

What would you do?

Regards | New Orleans French Quarter

What are you doing providing a correct and useful answer? Was this a
mistake? It' so totally out of character for you!

Yep, you can export and import cookies and faves through the menus in IE
and other browsers. That is somewhat different than "copying a cookie"
from one PC to another, which implies just manually moving a particular
cookie file. Glad you got it done.

Reading between the lines, then, just copying a file doesn't work -
because it doesn't get added to some index or something?

All's well that ends.
