Default Remote assistance not working through msn messenger

it just says "The invitation from David to start Remote Assistance was
declined because the program is disabled or is not installed on your computer.

when the invite is sent to me.

and I know I have remote assistance installed, and MSN messenger 8.5

how do I make it behave?

Ahh yes, and I am running WindowsXP 64 SP2, there doesn't appear to be such
thing as SP3 xp64.. I may be wrong, please correct me if so.
