Default Old PS printer driver not working

My company installed several new computers but instead of using the HP PS
driver included with XP (which we had been using), a Universal PS driver was
downloaded from HP and installed. It printed files with the same page setup
as the old driver but has some other issues. I want to switch back to my old
driver. When I do that in the Advanced settings, the XP driver prints the
exact same text but violates the bottom margin of the file. It appears to be
a problem with the amount of space between lines. Do I have to uninstall the
Universal driver? Is it not possible to just switch drivers?
Thanks
