Default What are the M-as$holes idiots thinking !

I sit down at my SECURITY MONITOR Toshiba designed for Windows Ten
laptop and see the power button is on so I wiggle the mouse.
Why , because I hear a commotion outside and need to see what is going
on via my security system.

NOTHING !

I hit the keyboard

NOTHING !

I hold the power button and restart the laptop.

15 MINUTES LATER I FINALLY GET A STARTUP MESSAGE TO WAIT MORE FOR
WHATEVER M-as$holes are doing next.

The the desktop appears and nothing is clickable.

WAIT MORE MINUTES !

I have to listen to the damn Windows pleasant sounds. Hah, most
annoying sounds.

Finally I can open the security screen and there is no one in view.
All gone.

TOTALLY USELESS WINDOWS 10 !!!!!!!!!

This is NOT A PERSONAL COMPUTER !
This is a M-as$hole piece of crap software.

If my security software ran on another OS I would switch.

BRING BACK WIN XP. AT LEAST THERE I KNOW IT WILL NOT GIVE ME THESE PROBLEMS.

Dude, you're using the wrong OS, or you're using it incorrectly. :-)

If you're going to stay with Win 10 for your security solution, you
might need to make sure it's 'always on' because the current situation
is unworkable for you. Alternately, you could consider upgrading to a
previous Windows version, such as 8.1 or 7, depending on your hardware
and available drivers. No matter what you use, it sounds like it needs
to be 'always on' to be able to respond to security situations. Don't
let it go to sleep or hibernate.

Yep. Have it set for always "on" and if needed use Policy Editor to turn
auto-update off completely.

Yes, I know it's frustrating at times

Char, he needs to get a Mac so we don't have to listen to someone that
doesn't know a computer from a hole in the ground.

If you don't like the start up music/sound then change it. You CAN
customize the PC a bit!

I have got few xp boxes to ship so let me know how much are you prepared
to pay. XP machines seems to be in demand so it is time to cash-in make
some profit from this precious Operating system.

Normally, I would have paid somebody to take them away but there are
nutters and idiots around who are prepared to pay so why not!!!!!!!!

AMEN!
10 is a mess --came on my wife's new computer. I would change!
I'm still using Win 7 on a laptop and will not change until I
have to. Then I'll probably move to 8.1 which I don't like
--but better than 10 !

Latest version of 10 gives the option to defer updates for about a month.
Set that, then reboot to flush the update queue.
I don't have a lot of hours on that test machine, but it seems
to neuter the most annoying update-related issues.

If that doesn't work, there's always the "set metered connection"
defense.

I'm not defending the unconscionable MS practices, but it does
appear that you can now defend against this one to some degree.
