Ejecting media
Has W10 been changed so that when you click the icon to eject media
you no longer receive confirmation when it is safe to do so? |

At Insider 16273, they... https://blogs.windows.com/windowsexp...uild-16273-pc/ "fixed an issue resulting in no "Safe to Remove Hardware" notification after following the device removal process from the "Safely Remove Hardware and Eject Media" tray icon " Microsoft thinks they have already fixed your problem. The Notification interface can be programmed on a per-program basis. AFAIK, you can suppress notifications under the control of this dialog. Try turning it off and on again (that is, if the Safely Remove is actually listed in there). https://winaero.com/blog/wp-content/...og-600x463.png ( https://winaero.com/blog/always-show...ns-windows-10/ ) Paul |

Turns out it was my fault for turning off 'notifications' without appreciating the consequences. Thanks to your help, it is now restored. |
