The only thing about 10 I detest is the problems they bring with 'upgrades'. Just had two machines that weren't right. A repair reinstall cured them just like with 7. This is the #1 reason I've stayed aeay from it. Odd, on 3 machines I've only had one hickup and it worked the 2nd time. Creators update worked fine on all 3. |

XP is needed for older apps. I have XP running in a virtual box for 42
of these and it works great. I think you need 7 to run 64 bit apps. |

Why would you expect anyone to waste their time trying to help someone like you who 'requests' info if you are too lazy or stubborn to search for that info yourself on the Internet? Stupid comment. I'm using a 10 newsgroup to get aggitional info on 10. You can control the updates for Win10, if you get off your do-nothing ass and learn how to do it yourself. And again, why should I have to bother. 7's got updating when I want it to, and no adverts ever which I heard is another 10 surprise. 10 has nothing significant to offer over 7 and apparently lots to avoid. |

Did you know that M$ is still providing updates for 7 ? Now that I mention it, 7 updates are when I clearly command them, not when M$ feels like it as with 10. I once posted a request for anyone to give me one good reason to go to 10, and guess what, nobody could ! I like to keep my systems updated and Win7 updates were getting harder and harder to apply. When I installed Win10 the process became a lot smoother. Once they had me hooked though, the update process started bogging down again. Oh well I moved to Linux and the process is even smoother (no reboots). I have been using Linux since about the year 2000 It became my main OS maybe 8 years ago |

Then why do you have WinXP SP2 instead of just plain old WinXP? *Because he is not only a troll but an idiot troll.* Hell, even some automobiles have computer updates. Nothing wrong with 10 if you stop reading all the BS. Most of the "spying" can be handled when installing the thing and 3rd party programs to handle the rest. I'd rather not have to start messing with 3rd party stuff Always big complaints after each new OS version.I was happy to get rid of the blue screens going from XP to 7 and 8, 10 are even better with crashes. 10's been around for over a year. 'bout time the bugs were worked out The only thing about 10 I detest is the problems they bring with 'upgrades'. Just had two machines that weren't right. A repair reinstall cured them just like with 7. This is the #1 reason I've stayed aeay from it. I upgraded to 10 from 8.1 just as soon as I could (on 4 machines) and have not had a single problem with updates/upgrades. Just sayin'! |

Is this not so? If not then why the **** are you here? If you want to do Weinstein on SteveGG's cock then contact him via WindowsXP newsgroup. I'm hear stupid so I keep up with other things in life. I do run Windows 10 from time to time and someone here might just have some good info, so I read. Linux is not boring, maybe you're to shallow to expand your horizons, but I like Linux. I believe I'm more productive there. Please clean up your act. I know that's a waste of my typing as I've got you killfiled but.... One of the lesser win-10 group contributors, GoofGuy has to wait frustratingly long spells for easy questions to come up. Trolling makes his day. Funny thing is, he thinks employers are going to discover him online, like what they see, and want him. ROFL! |

I'll still stay with 7. I had a glitch with updating that lasted over
a year until fixed, and nothing bad occured. |
