Default "Operating System Not Found" after SP2

After installing SP2 on a client machine this morning, the PC came up with
the 'Operating System Not Found' prompt after restarting. It eventually
worked after turning the power off completely and restarting the PC. Is
this a common problem with upgrading to SP2 and if so is there any way of
preventing it?

Thanks!

James

James;
Not sure if I have heard of that one.
However if it worked OK after powering off, most likely it was a drive
error of some kind that happened at that time.
Verify the hard drive is OK, go to the website of the hard drive
manufacturer and get their hard drive diagnostics.

Hey James,

I am receiving the same message. Working on trying to figure it out. My
tech told me it was more than likely related to SP2. I get it mostly when
coming out of hybernation (Sony Viao TR). It is getting more frequent. I am
going to roll back SP2 to see if that fixes the problem.
