Default SP2 Auto. Install

Is Microsoft going to automaticly install SP2 on my system even though I do
not want it yet due to needing to clean up challenges that I have with the
system? This is a single system in my home w/ XP Pro SP1 installed and all
patches other then SP2.

Hi XYZ,

You never have to install any service packs unless you choose to do so.
Whether or not your system will be compatible with future versions of
Microsoft software is another story. Hopefully by then you'll be ready
to install SP2. This is not a knock on Microsoft, just stating a fact
of life when using any modern OS.

If I may ask, what type of "cleanup challenges" do you have?

Thanks,

Harlin Seritt

This system shows 3 critical items as being on it. Ran HJT with aumah.org &
the clean up is WAY over my skill level. Waiting on son to arrive next month
and he will take care of it for me.
