How do I make a USB port in Windows 10 just provide power and not a

Er.... that's a video about electric bikes.

I get a video on making a light that can be plugged into a phone.

Youtube suddenly decided to give me FIVE MINUTE adverts before half the things I watched. I've turned up the power on my adblocker.

& USB mainly 'C' type

They sell USB adaptors that only pass the power lines. They were designed
for use in public places where one wouldn't know if a provided USB port was
safe or not.

I like the name for those: a "USB condom". However as others have pointed out, that could cause slow or no charging, since data lines are required for the supply to tell the device how much power it can take.

Nope. It's about adding an external LED light to a smart phone using the USB
port for power.

Dunno what you were watching.

That’s what I saw, too.

YouTube is getting sorta insane with ads these days — maybe he saw an ad
and got confused?

I actually WATCHED the add for a new conversion kit to make one's bike
electrified!

I ALSO watched the bright light add-on for Android 'phones!

I had a different ad, but it made sense that what I described *might* be
happening and had led to the confusion. Thanks for verifying. Seems almost
certain now.

YouTube has changed how they work with ads over the last few days. For
example, the in-view ads now show for not just 10 minute videos but also for
8-minute, but also seems they have pushed more ads at the start. Now it is
more likely i will just download videos I want to watch. Of course that means
the content creator does not get their ad revenue, but as the ads become more
and more obtrusive that is what YouTube is promoting. I certainly have no
issue with anyone bypassing ads for MY videos.

If you turn off monetization for your videos, does that not disable ads?

Yip, I did. I've added loads of ad blockers and none worked. But the last one is meant to according to a friend - "Enhancer for Youtube" - be sure to turn on the extra function to get round Youtube's new ad ****.

Yes, or at least I think so. At the very least you get fewer ads. But I
have no issue with people getting ad money, just get it when folks want
to bypass any ads on my videos.

I was thinking something that was incorrect... and as such my question
did not make much sense. Sorry 'bout that.

Seems "Enhancer for YouTube" is not available (yet) for Safari.

I used to have a phone that wouldn't charge using a normal USB cable,
only a "charge only" cable.
