Default Wireless Desktop, Optical Mouse 2.0 wont respond

Hi, a few months ago i purchased a wireless desktop set,
recently the mouse pointer would freeze, not moving for a
few seconds, then return to life.

Now the problem has escalated, the mouse does not
function properly at all.

The Optical light is on, i think its supposed to get
brighter on moving, but it doesnt.

The keyboard works perfectly fine, i tried all the
trouble shooting advice about the distances and possible
intefering devices and trying to re-synchronize but there
seems to be no life other than the optical light.

When i try to re-synchronize the mouse, the lights on the
reciever continue to blink even at 0 distance and trying
for an extended time, and the keyboard will connect on
the first press of the connect button.

The mouse and keyboard are normaly both within 30cm of
the reciever and as i said, i have had no problems until
now (also tested on another system and same result)

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

I've had similar problems, from time to time, allways cured by unplugging
usb and then plugging back in on another port.

I have heard that microsoft wireless products eat
batteries like no tommorow (10 days)
maybe replace batteries will cure the problem
you didnt mention you had changed them so i assume you
have not.
