Screen size
I just had a new hard drive installed, along with IE7, and the pages are too
wide to fit on my monitor screen. I have to scroll left and right to read the page.How can I adjust this so the entire page fits? I use the setting at the bottom, but it's not permanent--I have to reset it everytime I log on. Thanks for any help.

Have you tried other web browsers such as Firefox or Opera?
They should display your pages correctly and provide you with more security. As for your issue, try changing your resolution to 1024x768. The entire desktop will be smaller but the web page will fit better. The other option might be to set the font site in IE. View|Text Size| on the toolbar. Make it smaller. It will shrink fonts but not images. The default is medium. Some webpages are wide. Most should fit 800x600 however, but you may just be visiting some that are wide. You can reset the resolution easy enough if you don't like it.

You can reset the resolution easy enough if you don't like it. Yep that was one of my suggestions. But some people hate 1024x768, thus the 2nd suggestion to reduce text size. I have a 15.4inch laptop and its set for 1280x800 Even smaller. And I like it. Its readable. And widescreen too. I get so much more on a page.
