Default Movie maker 2.1, clip trimming

I imported 3hrs of AVI video footage into movie maker with no problems, movie
maker then automatically split the footage into smaller clips ( approximately
800 of them). I started to populate the story board with ease, however many
of the clips required some sort of trimming. Trimming the clips at the start
or the end is no problem, just a matter of dragging the pointers in the
timeline mode. How do I trim a section out of the middle of a specific clip ?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

This isn't the right newsgroup - but:

You have to split the clip into two separate clips. You can now trim the
end of the first and/or the beginning of the second achieving what you
desire.
