Looks interesting, but I already have some software that can mount Linux partitions. It's called Linux. And it can also read, write, and format Windows partitions without needing anything extra. It can even do this when booted from a CD. So can I and mine is called BartPE (aka Windows Live). Linux is pretty useless accessing some Windows machines that need Windows drivers for RAID and such. Although BartPE can load them. Both Acronis and Paragon more expensive products uses WinPE (like BartPE) CDs instead of a Linux one. Because they know which one is really better too. :-) Here is why Acronis says WinPE is better than Linux. http://www.acronis.com/en-us/support....html#714.html EaseUS recommends WinPE over Linux because... http://www.todo-backup.com/products/...ware-winpe.htm I'm afraid EaseUS is wrong about the capabilities of Linux live cds. Maybe true about Raid but on most of the other stuff is wrong. -- Caver1 |

Maybe true about Raid but on most of the other stuff is wrong. No they were referring to what their software can do with either Linux or WinPE. And they are indeed correct there. I personally don't know why anybody would access a Windows partition with a Linux CD, when a WinPE (or BartPE) does so much more. And Linux isn't perfect or anything and they have been known to screw up Windows partition from time to time. -- Bill Gateway M465e ('06 era) - Kingston 120GB SSD - Thunderbird v24.4.0 Centrino Core2 Duo T7400 2.16 GHz - 4GB - Windows 8.1 Pro w/Media Center |
