TurboCAD LTE
I've used AutoCAD LT for years, doing simple drawings and like it very
much. When I upgraded to my new HP Pavalion with Windows 8 pre-installed I upgraded my drafting software to TurboCAD LTE. This is supposed to work just like the old AutoCAD LT that I've used for years. But, it shows my drawings with a dense black background and white lines, numbers, text, etc. I liked the old AutoCAD setup that let me use a white background with dark blue lines, text, etc. Is this black background a Windows 8 setup or is it something that TurboCAD LTE defaulted to? If it is a Windows 8 setup, is there any way I can change it? Thanks, Gordon |

Thanks, Gordon I haven't used TurboCAD, but my semi-educated guess from working with other CAD/CAM programs years ago is that it's a setting that can be changed somewhere in TurboCAD. -- SC Tom |

Could it be an impolite way of indicating something is amiss with graphics settings ? (Like, video card driver isn't doing something that TurboCAD needs. Or graphics card needs to be set to 32 bit color.) Paul |

Yes, it is an AutoCAD setup, not a Windows 8 thing, and it isn't hard to do once one gets the process figured out. With the drawing loaded, left click on Options Drawings Setup Background Color then select whatever one wants. I still haven't figured out how to change the lines and text to a dark blue as in those old "blueprint" drawings of ancient times. Gordon |
