account login, that does not appeal to me personally.

You can create online notebooks (a local cached copy exists that syncs
up to the online copy in OneDrive) or you can create local-only
notebooks. Up to you.

It's having to login to MS that I don't care for. Just don't like the
overall idea of having to login in to "Mom" so I can use a piece of
software.

Especially since I have no need for the cloud for syncing between devices.
