8 to 10 upgrade question
Hi All,
I have Frankenstein 8.0 (Windows 8.0) on a virtual machine. I have resisted upgrading it to F8.1 as it will cause my dynamic disk to grow and grow. And F8.0 is close enough to F8.1 that I can look things up for customer if need be, which is the only thing I use it for (it is too slow and buggy for anything else). I am noticing that the upgrade reports for Son-of-Frankenstein http://gizmodo.com/windows-10-is-a-f...ear-1680771504 are for F8.1 and not F8.0. Can anyone confirm this? Does this mean an "inplace" upgrade of an existing F8.1? I would really rather start over fresh. Do we have access to the disks (or ISOs)? And, I would like to keep F8.x on its own virtual machine until I can tell if none of my customers are using it any more. (I kept Vista [on a virtual machine] around for a six months after W7 was released.) -T I am really hoping M$ manages to pull a rabbit out of a hat like they did with Vista to W7. |
