If this is the case, what are the implications to Live CD/USB
and (Bart style) PE disks?

Will we not be able to boot off of Live/PE to do maintenance
on SOF (Son-of-Frankenstein, a.k.a. Windows 10)?

Do I misunderstand how UEFI lock works? Will it only lock
you out of the hard drive for booting purposes?

And, if you can still boot off of Live, will the lock
keep you out of doing maintenance on the hard drive?

I really (mildly optimistically) think there's no
story here. There's no other related policy changes
in the HCL, and that's what determines what vendors
implement and test on their platforms, because there's
a lot of MS marketing money tied to doing so.

[0] How would you write a CSM on ARM? What could
"int 13h AX=EDDh" or any other BIOS call even mean?
You'd have to write a whole new ABI for BIOS just to
say it was deprecated.


So, perhaps, we are all worrying about nothing here.
