Default Installation Windows 10 Insider Preview (x64) Build 10074 failed

Hi all,

First, I tried 1041per Windows update from Windows 7. It failed with
error 08007004-0x3000B: "The installation failed in the first boot
phase with an error during prepare_second_boot_operation." Then I
tried Build 10074 per ISO, also as an upgrade. The same results. I
tried do a clean boot and stopped my Avira Antivirus. Then I renewed
my User Account. In addition I put all not necessary USB away. Nothing
works. The installation rolled back to Win7 rather at finishing the
upgrade.

Hi Bernie,

You are looking at a wipe and reinstall. This happens
a lot. And, I have wiped and reinstalled three or four times
now (I forget exactly how many times). One time SOF (Son-of-
Frankenstein, or Windows 10) was so hosed trying to fast
several new releases that the system was unusable. It
is what it is. :'(
