Now you can be assured that your data is safe with Microsoft:
-- /*This post contains rich text (HTML). if you don't like it then you can kill-filter the poster without crying about it like a small baby so that you don't see this poster's posts ever again.*/ /*This message is best read in Mozilla Thunderbird as it uses 21st century technology.*/ |

"To protect your privacy, Thunderbird has blocked remote content in this message". A closer examination in the "options" shows there was something from "example.com" and "channel9.msdn.com". Harmless, most likely, but still a waste of time on a *text* news group. |

A link to a 50 minute speech by someone in Microsoft about Cyber Security, or at least that was my just from jumping quickly through 10 minutes or so. Very dull speaker and boring at that. Not the subject, but the speaker. IMHO. |

For some reason, the dual nature of the message was not preserved at the source, and doesn't appear to encode both a standalone text and an HTML section as separate items. The content that isn't showing is just a raw IFrame. I guess you could say the message was "over-wrapped". http://al.howardknight.net/msgid.cgi....mixmin.net%3E I kept expecting GG to post a followup message with his link, since it appeared to be missing. By using Howard, I can see there actually was content after all. Since Google doesn't archive this newsgroup, I can't use Google Groups to look at it. Thank God for Howard still working, to help fill in the gaps. https://channel9.msdn.com/Blogs/Tast...r#time=0h30m0s ******* The actual link (full page rendered in your web browser) would be: https://channel9.msdn.com/Blogs/Tast...-Cybersecurity and the attempt to snatch just the player from the page was a problem. The player window has a "Download" button below it, with some format selections. Which may help if you're "not on FCC broadband" :-) You know, that flavor of broadband "not available in your area". "In this special Taste of Premier episode we welcome Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella and GM of Microsoft’s Cloud Platform Julia White to discuss Microsoft’s new approach on cyber and operational security in our mobile-first, cloud-first world." Yes, a pity that she goes so fast over the ground but impressive nevertheless. Might have been a useful wakeup call to CEOs in many companies (Talktalk springs to mind). Not at all clear how this works out with the wide variety of players in the relevant markets though. |
