Default 3 hrs to Install Win10 Updates Today

Anyone else?
At least there were no major problems that I experienced after it was
finally over. Whew!!!
I had it set to manual updating so perhaps that was part of the problem.
Win10 64bit HP It was up to date two weeks ago.

Same for me one week ago. That is when it gave me the Anniversary Update.

If you can see this emoji: ðŸ¦Å*
then you have the Anniversary Update.

Two weeks ago would have been before the second Tuesday of the month
(Patch Tuesday).

Try again:

If you can see this emoji: 🦊
then you have the Anniversary Update.

Is it a motorbike that's been run over by a lorry?

::sigh:: See the followup correction.

::sigh:: Reply was to the OP.
You are not using the same client as the OP.
The testing item is only compatible with some clients.

3 hours of your machine EFFECTIVELY UNUSABLE while Micro-**** "updates"
it? [maxed out bandwidth, maxed out CPU, maxed out disk access,
stuttery mousie motions and keyboard response, yotta yotta - am I right?]

yeah, thanks Micro-****. Hopefully NOT a weekly occurrence. NOT being
able to turn it off THREATENS that kind of thing...

I am very curious on this subject, I am running Win 10 on 2 machines
since it came out and am now on the Anniversary edition and I have never
experienced any of these update problems and slowdowns!

Ver 1607 14393 187 ,And yes the machines are up to date and run from
8:00 am to about 10:00 pm.
I never have slowdowns or stalled updates, in fact I never notice them
updating. Naturally with exception of the major Anniversary update which
took an hour or so.

Mostly curious.

Regards, Rene
