FYI.
When you purchase this offer, the upgrade assistant is run and provides
a download (32 OR 64 bit) depending on your current system. I also
ordered the backup disk, and was surprised to find that it contains 32
AND 64 bit CDs.

And "this offer" would be which offer?

You didn't mention the offer.

There's no References header in your post so it wasn't a reply (for the
offer to be noted there).

Apparently, half the people in this group have no idea what
they're doing here except for seeking help on Windows 8. Good
thing Google Groups posters don't have easy access.

That may be the case. All I mentioned was that the backup disk
contained 32 and 64 bit CDs. Nothing more.

Sorry, I'm not wasting my time hunting around Microsoft's sites just
because you're too lazy to provide a URL.

I want that car.
Which car?
That car.
The lot is full of cars. Which one?
THAT car?
Could you at least *point* to "that" car?

http://blogs.windows.com/windows/b/b...for-39-99.aspx

This has been mentioned in this group on many occasions.

Now was that so hard to include in a post? Of course, that's an really
old blog post and isn't the download page for the "this offer". That's
currently their banner product at http://windows.com/.

Yeah, I knew of windows.com page but you made it sound like "this offer"
sans URL was some other offer mentioned somewhere else. That's why I
got curious thinking there was some other offer which was "this offer".
There are so many methods Microsoft uses to distribute their wares that
I've become accustomed to more than one "offer" from Microsoft.

This has been mentioned in this group on many occasions.

So your readers have to go hunting through old posts to maybe find some
URLs and hope one of them is the one you meant to mention but didn't.
Okie dokie then.

While a link would have been helpful...until Jan 31 there is only one car (Upgrade to WinX Pro)

Correct.
The same packaging contents is included if one purchases the boxed upgrade package elsewhere.

And unlike purchasing the Personal Use for System Builder version which comes in two flavors.
- 32 bit or 64 bit (but not both)
