You can try fubar2000 as the music player; you can even minimize it

to the taskbar while it's playing. Don't know if it works with win 10
but it should. I'm not able to try it with win10 as win10 or hyper-v
don't understand usb dac/amp for audio.

The win 10 build I'm using don't do .flac audio.

That works, so far no issues with it, will remember that when the full
varsion of 10 rolls out, if I need it.
now on to any other issue, hope someone from the microsoft team is
noting these.

another topic.. time.

My thought: have you tried *not* minimizing the Music app and just
bringing up the other app or program you want to work with?

Habit, I guess, I,m used to that, and I,m too old to change..
but I will try... thanks for the idea..

There's no one from "the microsoft team" here. If you have TP10 feedback,
you'll have to provide it via the channels they've set up. This isn't one of
them.

Just do what almost everyone has always done: use a music player that *does*
do .flac. Who really cares what Windows supports.

fubar2000 does .flac audio but win 10 don't see my usb audio unless
hyper-v didn't pass the info to win 10.

You might try spelling it correctly if you're going to recommend it.
It's called "Foobar2000".

And be different from other people on the newsgroups? Haven't seen
anything on spelling being enforced except by you.

I haven't seen anybody else misspell it but you. You don't provide a
link, and if anyone tries to find something called "fubar2000" they're
not going to find it because it doesn't exist.

If you're trying to be helpful, then spell it right. If you're trying
to be a troll, then keep on doing what you're doing.

By the way, no version of Windows innately "does .flac audio". They all
need an additional codec, which is true of most formats.

Experiment: Google for fubar200

Result:

"Showing results for foobar2000
Search instead for fubar2000"

....followed by lots of hits for foobar2000, the first of which is
"www.foobar2000.org/"
