Be guided accordingly and ALWAYS delay downloading/installing a M/S
update for at least 2 weeks (or later) after initial issue!!!
DISABLE the automatic function!!!

Hi Eggsspurt,

Excellent advice. M$ has a bad history of botches updates.

Here are four pages of them:
http://news.softpedia.com/newsTag/botched+update

The fist update I loaded on my SOF (Son-of-Frankenstein,
W10 Preview) hosed it. Chuckle. Not unexpected
from M$.

I personally get the best Anti Virus I can and
install my updates from WSUS if at all possible.
M$'s updates are not all that effective anyway.
And the cure is often worse than the disease!

But to be honest, I use Windows as little as possible.
But I have to learn it inside out to assist my customers.

And M$ has so far stuck to it guns on SOF mandatory updates.
We are in for a WILD ride!

-T
