Hi Dave, This one looks interesting: Windows USB/DVD Download tool http://wudt.codeplex.com/ Allows you to create DVD's and Flash Drives from ISO's. (I use Fedora Live USB Creator and K3B, but if I was ever stuck on a Windows only machine, this might come in real handy.) This one helps you create True Crypt volumes: VeraCrypt https://veracrypt.codeplex.com/ But no LUKS support. Dang! -T |

It's not exactly new. I've used that a number of times, to install Previews. I would still be careful to scan anything you get from that site. Just because Microsoft's name somehow got associated with it, doesn't tell us anything about how well run it is, whether there are safety issues. The fact it has 400,000 projects on it, should be a warning in itself. You can't handle that sort of volume, by actually reviewing the contents. It would take an army of (paid) people. And you know that army is not present. Security would be by people flagging stuff from the outside (by which time it's too late). Use your normal level of caution. Paul |
