Any sign of an ISO?

Not that I saw

'en_windows_10_pro_10041_x64_dvd.iso' was posted to my FTP site this
morning so it does exist.

There are download links at the bottom of this page for the new W10
iso

And when I went to shut down, I was told that wuapp was
preventing my shutdown and I told it to do so anyway.

Hmmm. I gave me wuapp's icon, but not its name. That
needs improving, especially since the icon is a "generic"
icon.

Be fun to see how this thing recovers tomorrow. Put
a wuapp shortcut on my desktop

From the time I checked for updates, until it was downloaded and
installed was about 3 1/2 hrs

Is the rumored and dreaded "Metro" back?

That's why I did the update , simply to see if that was true...
but I am happy to say it was a false report.

The new build is not much different from the old one.

Boots to the "standard" desktop. If you want the tiles though , just
left click on the (unlabeled) "start" button.

"Standard" menu, just right click on it

What I hated about Win8 (without Classic Shell) was that with one wrong
click...the tiles took over the screen and I'd have to hunt for the
desktop icon to get back. A major PITA for me and 99% of the people I
know who have Win8.

Hi Philo,

I forces myself to hit the win key to get back to the
Desktop. But then a again, I hit the win key for so
many things, Metro can fly back and forth two or three
times. AAAAHHHHHH !!!!

1+

I wish they'd get rid of Metro completely for
non-touch screen displays.

Hi Philo,

I am all updated now.

I am not telling any difference, except I am getting
a pop up about Windows Defender having been turned
off.

Bit Defender is still working

I got the same thing, but then, I'm running AVG. I had to reinstall it
(AVG), and then the Defender message went away and AVG took over.
