Can't get Project Spartan to work. It crashes on start up and I have
to use Task Manager to get out of it!.

Also it seems to have installed two Korean apps - a Korean Media
Player Centre and a Korean Messenger Centre. How bizarre!

David

I feel slighted- I didn't get the Korean anything, and my Spartan works,
such as it is :-(

By the sounds of it, Korean Karaoke or not, I'm
better off waiting for the next one.

I found an error in event viewer that Spartan died, "took too long ...." or something like that.
I'm running Win10 in VMWare and the machine is saved and running off of a USB3.0 external HD. It's of course a bit
more sluggish so the timeout is understandable.
I got it to work by waiting for the HD activity light to stop, assuming naturally that Windows 10 wasn't busy, and
launched Spartan. That worked.

Oh Yes.... And all this work for crap. It's horrible looking, tools are poor. Got the favorites bar working, but wish
I could have found an import from chrome or such action. The favorites bar has the same issue the close "X" buttons
did in earlier builds, not centered in the bar. The favorites are too low on the bar and slightly cut off.

Just a horrible release. They should have waiting a month and get it refined a bit.
Downloads are "coming soon" etc.

Insider just told me that there is patch for 10049 coming down. The slow
10049 should be more stable.

Same for me. It starts up, then flickers a couple of times, then
disappears from view. I didn't check Task Manager, but I'm not
surprised that you found its process still running in the background.

Yep, I noticed that too. It made me wonder if I had inadvertently
started off with a Korean language ISO!
