Default W-Nein: head up on Kaspersky

Hi All,

I verified a few hours ago with Kaspersky's tech support
that if upgrading to Windows Nein, oops, Ten, that you
first have to uninstall Kaspersky, then reinstall
Kaspersky after Windows Nein completes.

No news here.

But... That also applies for all those full reinstalls
that Nein likes to do. Kaspersky gets knocked out
on occasion.

Kaspersky tech Support recommends running Kav Remover
and then reinstalling Kaspersky.

Sheesh!

Thank you guys for the feedback. I only get called when things
go wrong. So far the feedback I am getting about w7-w10 is that
it bricks things. On investigation, I am finding the w10 is okay, but
a lot of their migrated programs are not.

Kaspersky Tech Support has been warning for a while to uninstall
before upgrading to W10. They confirmed for me yesterday that
the various full reinstall of W10 that come down the pipe
(C:\Windows.old) are causing the same problem.

I suspect there are many more things involved, especially what's on the
upgraded computer.

My Kaspersky worked well but I had Samsung Kies, a program to save and
restore my mobile phone contacts etc to my PC.

It requested an upgrade after my 7 to 10 upgrade, it totally screwed my
PC, I'm not a novice but I couldn't get it to load past the intro
screen.

I was lucky that my village has a great computer shop and I know the
owner who actually sold me the original unit, they sorted the problem
out and so far all has run without a problem.
