Default backup not included in my XP--what to do?

Hi,

I purchased my computer from Systemax with Windows XP
already loaded. After searching this website's
information, I read that to backup my hard drive, I
should go to System Tools (in "programs"), and click
on "backup". The problem is, I don't have "backup", and I
don't have a backup wizard. I also read that I would have
to install the backup utility manually from the windows
xP disc, but, all Systemax gave me with the computer was
a system recovery cd that doesn't seem to have the backup
utility. All I want to do is backup my hard drive,
because it's acting a little strangely.

Could someone give me some advice? Thanks in advance.
