looking for camcorder to use with XP

My computer may not be powerful enough for AVCHD, so i am looking at
other media.

Like the Canon Vixia HV30 uses tape.

Does anyone know if this would be easier to edit with xp?

I have 512 gigs of ram and about 14 gigs of storage. with a pentium 4
CPU with 1.80 Ghz.
