Default Empty video box

On the Washington Post and Newsweek sites, I came across an empty video box.
Insiide the frame was a tiny box in the upper left hand corner with trhee
little dabs of red, blue and green colors. On another site, I found the same
thing in an empty picture frame. How can I open these? I have Windows XP,
SP 3, Windows Media Player 11, IE 8. Thank you.
