Nothing happens when clicking on Defragment or Analyze in Disk Defragmenter
(dfrg.msc). With XP SP2 the DCOM Server Process Launcher service needs to be running for Defrag to work. Open Services... Start | Run | Type: services.msc | Click OK | Scroll down to and double click DCOM Server Process Launcher | Set the startup type to Automatic | Click Apply | Click the Start button | When the service starts, click OK | Close Services | Reboot -- Hope this helps.
