Default How to force Windows XP Pro. SP3 to retry another NTP server if itfails?

Hello.

I noticed sometimes my old, updated Windows XP Pro. SP3's internet time
synchronizations with a time server, fail for whatever reasons. Is there
a way to have it automatically try a different NTP server automatically
if the current one failed?

The reason why I ask is because my Windows/PC's time/clock seems to
drift slowly a lot when I use DVI and watch videos. You can read

http://forums.amd.com/game/messagevi...hreadid=146947 ,
and

.... So far, we're all stomped.

Thank you in advance.

Hey m8,

found this windows-built-in time sync tool pretty much annoying and
disabled that thing. Instead I can recommend this one:

http://sourceforge.net/projects/nettime/

It installs either as an application or as windows service, it has a nice
and clear user interface, it offers many fallback NTP server lines to be
filled out, and last but not least, it's impact on the machine is nearly
not noticeable.
Oh right.. and it can also become a server on its own, so you don't need to
sync to external servers for all your clients. But this is strictly up to
the user.

Hope you find it useful ^^
